As an avid recreational smoker of marijuana, I was always interested in the idea of the legalization of marijuana, but I never thought it would change my life the way it has.

 

Back in 2014, I had the opportunity to work with the original and only CannaPharmacia association, which has since become the general name of a cannabis club here in Lanzarote.

 

In that time I was lucky enough to have worked alongside the cannabicultor, a cannabis activist for over 20 years,  he taught me the history of modern day cannabis and  its health benefits.

 

After some research, I began learning about cannabis as an alternative medicine for healing various illnesses, from everyday joint pain and headaches to insomnia. And that it is not just an illegal drug as they would like us to believe. 

 

It was after this that I started doing a lot more research into the benefits of medical cannabis and how best to use it as a medicine. Thanks to the cannabis associations we have here in Spain, I had the freedom to work with cannabis on a daily basis and soon I started a European Medical Extraction brand for research purposes.

For 5 years I ran a cannabis association in Lanzarote helping people have access to this extraordinary medicine. I also learned, and saw first hand, how diet affects our health and not just our size. I also started to understand the many other herbal medicines that exist and how they can benefit us, in particular mushrooms.

 

GratefulMeds was the name of my association, which unfortunately is closed now, but i have carried on the website as an informational site for alternative medicines such as cannabis, mushrooms and other herbal alternatives to the pharmaceutical route.
